EFA Doctoral Workshop

Alongside the EFA Annual Meeting, a one-day EFA Doctoral Workshop (EFA-DW) is organized for PhD students in their second or third year. EFA recently launched this educational workshop series on New Frontiers in Finance – featuring a different theme topic each year. The EFA-DW is held in parallel with the EFA Doctoral Tutorial (EFA-DT) on the same day the EFA Annual Meeting officially starts, preceded the evening before by a networking welcome dinner. During the EFA-DW, recent research on the selected Finance topic is summarized in lecture presentations by leading professionals, and potential directions for future research are discussed. The aim of the event is to explore lesser-known areas of Finance and provide a solid background for PhD students interested in doing research in these fields.
