Notice about FXVC scam
We have been made aware of the fraudulent use of the name and logo of the European Finance Association (EFA) with reference to a company called Finteractive Ltd (trading as FXVC) and various brokers including Cyrptobravos.com, Traderhouse, Brown Finance, RoyalCFDs, Warren Warwick. It appears that former customers of Finteractive (trading as FXVC and FXVC Netherlands) have been targeted by scammers, claiming that they are able to recover customers’ funds lost through trading with Finteractive. We understand that these emails have generally required consumers to make an upfront payment, often using cryptoassets. The scams have included false documents purporting to come from the European Finance Association and claiming that the EFA has authorized the recovery schemes.
Be aware that EFA has no authority to assign third parties, the position of 'Head of the Financial Crimes Investigation Committee' does not exist within the Association and there is no person called 'D.Williams' or 'Monique Perez' working for the Association.
We have reported this fraudulent use of EFA name and logo to the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority and refer you to the UK Financial Conduct Authority who have posted news about these scams
The FCA notes that people are being increasingly targeted by recovery room scams. This is where fraudsters approach investors who have been scammed or had failed investments, offering to help them get their money back for an upfront fee.
